Jake has over 12 years’ experience in marine insurance managing the overall relationship with large international maritime clients with a concentration in the cruise and marine logistics sectors. He has directed complex broking placements for P&I, H&M and War programs as well as handling major problematic claims from the initial notification to insurers until final payment.

Jake joined Lockton/P.L. Ferrari in 2020 and is located in Tampa, Florida. He has a dual role as an Account Executive for the Lockton Global Marine Practice and as a representative of P.L. Ferrari responsible for day-to-day client management, broking, claims handling and liaising with our global P.L. Ferrari and Lockton colleagues.  Prior to joining Lockton, Jake worked at another large international broking firm where he started as an account specialist and worked his way up to a vice President and Account Executive with a similar role to his current position with Lockton.  Jake was recognized as one of the 2022 Marine Power Brokers and is a member of the Port of Tampa Propeller Club as well as Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute (SEALI).

Jake holds a Master’s degree  in Business Administration from the University of Miami (Florida) where he also earned his Bachelor’s Degree (Cum Laude) in Finance.  He has also held a Florida 2-20 Insurance License since 2013.
